Charitable Contributions

While providing each client with the highest quality service is our primary goal at United Heritage, being active in the community is very important to us and each of our more than 100 employees as well. We have accomplished this goal by not only supporting and encouraging our employees to volunteer their time and efforts in worthwhile causes, such as United Way, but United Heritage itself often donates funds to assist various charitable groups and entities. United Heritage has teamed up with the Idaho Community Foundation to create the “United Heritage Fund” a philanthropic gift fund. This fund is non-endowed as well as fully expendable, and can be used to distribute monetary donations to any IRS-recognized charity at any time. There have been several organizations over the years that have benefited from our generosity including Northwest Children’s Home, Teen Challenge of Idaho, Idaho Shakespeare Theatre, the Boys & Girls Club of Ada and Canyon Counties, Women and Children’s Alliance, and several educational institutions and organizations. United Heritage is also proud of its sponsorship of community events such as the local American Heart Association Heart Walk and the Bob LeBow Bike Tour.

Community Involvement

In addition to our charitable activities, United Heritage sponsors many local community events.
For example, in 2002, we helped the city of Boise host the best Olympic Torch Relay Celebration in the United States. This Celebration was such a successful event that the city of Boise was awarded only one of four Olympic cauldrons that are found outside of the Olympic headquarters. As a result of its sponsorship of this event, United Heritage was the first host of the cauldron in its home office lobby upon its arrival in Boise.

In early 2004, United Heritage sponsored the United Heritage Invitational Track Meet at the Idaho Sports Center in Nampa, Idaho. Boise State University’s track team competed against some to the top collegians in the country with teams from LSU, Baylor, Arizona State, Stanford, California, UCLA, Oregon and Washington joining the Broncos. United Heritage sponsored the event again on February 4 – 5, 2005. On November 9, 2004, United Heritage sponsored the “United Heritage Tip-Off,” in which the men’s basketball teams from Albertson College of Idaho and Northwest Nazarene University squared off against each other for the first time since 2001, renewing a decades-old rivalry. United Heritage is proud to promote local events for the residents of our communities to enjoy.
